Wow, so hard to choose which color is best!! These are such good-looking strollers! I would have to say Pois Black would be my fav. Wish you had a Pois Red…that would be PERFECT!

I’d like to buy a footmuff for the 2010 Pliko switch in Tropical. Can I order one from the Peg Perego USA Customer Service?
Hi Alyssa,
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, here in the U.S., we do not offer a footmuff accessory for the 2010 Pliko Switch Compact. Sorry about that!
-Emily
I was wondering when the switch 4 will be released?
Hi Desiray,
Thanks for your interest in the Switch Four. It will be released with our 2012 Collection in January. All colors should be available then, with the exception of Southpole, which is expected to become available in February. You can use our online Store Locator to find a retailer near you. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

I really wish you guys went back to gender specific colors or at least bright colors. I received so many compliments on our Rose carseat/stroller and our Mint stroller. The Iris and lavenda are beautiful.
Hi Kiesha,
Thanks for your feedback. I’ll be sure to pass it along.
-Emily
I need to buy a stroller very soon and your Switch is on the top of my list. I think I should wait for the 2012 version since it will be out in January. However I don’t like the colours you carry in the US for Switch. I love your Iris strollers. I saw the Iris Switch available on your European catalog. I wonder how can I buy the Iris one in the US? The Peonia (pink) one also looks pretty for baby girls.
Hi Dan,
Thanks for your interest in our 2012 Switch Four stroller. I’m so sorry, but here in the U.S., the 2012 Switch Four won’t be available in the Iris or Peonia colors you mentioned. If you’re looking for a great “girl” color, the Geranium (dark red/true red), Denim, or Zaffiro (classic navy) are all very, very pretty. If you really want something in the Iris, you can still get the 2011 Pliko P3 Compact or 2011 Vela Easy Drive, both of which come in Iris. Please let me know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you.

Hello. My wife and I were just looking at the 2011 Pliko Switch six piece package last night at our local distributor. Our second daughter is due in April of next year and even though we still have our first daughter’s original set we fell in love with this new modular set up. I had open heart surgery and my health has steadily been declining which makes it more difficult for me as a stay at home dad. The Switch would make my life so much easier and the components are much lighter than our original Uno stroller with matching car seat and baby bag plus the recently purchased SI model stroller for our 3 1/2 year old. All of these pieces are in orange. Picked for high visibility for safety and it has worked several times in parking lots. We were looking to see if the 2012 would offer some sort of orange color but unfortunately they don’t. So we will be going with the Burgandy color instead. Only question I have is regarding the wheels. One thing that we noticed last night was the eight wheels. Our original Uno stroller only had four wheels and it was terrible over rough terrain constantly getting stuck on grass, dirt, or gravel. Yet other inexpensive brands with eight wheels did fine on the same terrain. This is one of the major selling points that I loved about it when we saw it last night. Should I stick with the 2011 or will the 2012 offer me such a better advantage that I should go with it instead? What exactly would make the 2012 a better buy? Or will I be better off with the 2011? I feel silly because we went with Peg Perego originally so that we could use it with all of our future children knowing that the quality would last and it has but here we are looking at a whole new set for our second and final child.
Thank you for your input and Merry Christmas!
Hi Angel,
Thank you so very much for your inquiry. We redesigned the Switch for 2012 with four wheels to make it better. The redesigned wheels have 12 ball bearings and suspension for enhanced steering and maneuverability, requiring 30 percent less effort to push. Given what you’re looking for, I’d say the 2012 Switch Four is the best option. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
-Emily
Hi!
Do you have an updated release date for the US? Also will this model now have the easy drive system, similar to the Vela? I know the wheels, bearing & suspension are all updated, I really love how the Vela pivots and turns so smoothly. The 2011 switch does not. Did they take away any of the features from the 2011, other then changing out the front tray which can be purchased separately?
Thank you,
Debbi
Hi, I would like to buy Peg Perego Switch Four and I would like to know when and from where I can order one. I live in Ohio, I visited Buy Buy Baby but they still don’t have any. I haven’t found an online seller too. Do you have any information about this, because I have to buy a stroller and a car seat in two weeks.
Will there be a 2012 Switch Compact?
Hi Debbi,
Thanks for your interest in the Switch Four. The Switch Four will be available (in most colors) later this month (the only exception to that is the Southpole color, which will be available in February). With its updated four-wheel design, suspension and ball bearings, the new Switch Four is (up to 30 percent) easier to push.
With the exception of the wheels, the only other updates to the Switch in 2012 are the sleek new bumper bar and that the coordinating foot muff is now included.
The “easy drive” in the Vela Easy Drive name refers to the single handlebar. The Switch Four doesn’t have the single handlebar; it has two telescoping handles.
I hope all this helps. Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thanks.
Emily
Hi Theresa,
Thanks for your question. The 2012 Switch Four is our updated version of the 2011 Pliko Switch Compact. Sorry about the confusion. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
Thanks!
Emily
Hi Bluerain,
Thanks for your interest in the Switch Four. Hi, just got the 2012 Switch Four and am looking forward to trying it out. One thing is worrying me though, we have the primo viaggio sip 30-30 car seat and even when clicked in to place on the switch four, it seems to wobble a LOT more than we expected. Is there a way to may this a tighter fit ?
Is there a lighterweight fabric under the boot that is built in that can make the stroller a bassinet as in previous years? Is the heavy removable boot cover the only option because I live in a warm climate.
Hi Emily,
Will the carrycot for switch 2012 be available ? Any peg perego carrycot is OK?
My daughter is 10 months old and I need only a strollerat this moment but might need a carrycot for her little sis/brother in the future.
Hi James,
On the Switch Four, the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 attaches right to the stroller chassis. You simply put your car seat on the chassis and push down until you hear the car seat “click” into place. Check out this video for further instruction. If you’re still having trouble, please call us at 1-800-671-1701, and we’ll walk you through it.
-Emily
Hi Allie,
The Switch Four does include a baby safety enclosure system, which quickly and easily transforms the seat into a carriage. Check out this video of the 2011 Switch to see how that works (it’s the same on the 2012):
The foot muff is completely removable, so you don’t have to use it if its not needed.
Let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks!
Emily
Hi Aya,
Thanks for your interest in the Switch Four. For the time being, we don’t sell the bassinet for the Switch Four, the Navetta XL, as a separate item. Sorry about that. The Navetta XL bassinet is part of our Switch Four Modular System. You can check out that product here. Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks!
-Emily
Can you tell me when the switch four will be available this month? the middle or end of this month? Also at that time will it be in retail stores?
Hi Tina,
Thanks for asking about the Switch Four. It will be available by the end of this month in most colors, with the exception of Southpole. We expect Southpole to be available by the end of February.
-Emily
What is the age range that is appropriate to use this stroller? Also, I can’t seem to find any of the new 2012 Pliko models online to place on my registry, I have only found the P3. From the comments above, it seems that it won’t be available till end of Jan. My husband and I live in AL and there are a few retailers that carry Peg Perego items however they stated that it probably won’t be available in stores till Feb.
Also, same questions apply to the pliko 4 and new 30/30 car seat.
Hi Ellie,
The Switch Four has a full recline, so it can be used from birth. All of our strollers have been tested to accommodate children up to 45 pounds. The Switch Four should be available in most colors by the end of this month, with the exception of Southpole. We expect Southpole to be available by the end of February.
-Emily
Hi again Ellie,
While the Pliko Four has a deep recline, it’s not completely flat, so baby might find it more comfortable once he/she has a little more head and neck control, around 3 to 4 months. Of course if you’re using it as a travel system, baby can use it right away. The Pliko Four has been tested to accommodate children up to 45 pounds. The Pliko Four should be available in most colors by the end of this month. The only exceptions are Regata and Southpole, which should be available by the end of next month.
The Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 is designed for children 5 to 30 pounds, or up to 30 inches, whichever comes first. It is available now in many colors. All colors should be available by the end of February.

Hi Emily!
Do you know how the weight & measurements (folded & unfolded) for the Switch Four compare to the 2011 Switch compact?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Theresa,
Thanks for your question. Here’s how the 2011 and 2012 Switch stack up:
2011 Pliko Switch Compact:
33 1/2 x 22 1/4 x 38 1/2 inches (unfolded)
20 1/5 x 40 1/2 inches (folded)
21.7 pounds
2012 Switch Four:
34 1/4 ̋ x 22 2/3 ̋ x 36 5/6 ̋ (unfolded)
20 1/2 ̋ x 38 5/6 ̋ (folded)
23.8 pounds
Hi Emily,
We are looking for a stroller for our baby girl recently. Loved the updated version peg perego. Just wondering is there any changes for 2012 Si compared to 2011 version? We are considering P3/P4 or Si. Thx.
Hi Zoe,
Thanks so much for your interest in our products. There were no changes to the Si for 2012, same great lightweight stroller
What other questions do you have? Let us know. We’re here to help!
-Emily
Hi! Why Switch Four is 2lb heavier then the pliko switch compact as it has only 4 wheels vs 8? And the new switch four doesn’t have the child’s tray as the old one, correct?
Hi Oksana,
Thanks for your questions. The redesigned 2012 Switch Four has four large wheels, while the 2011 Pliko Switch Compact has eight small wheels. I think that is where the weight difference comes in.
And yes, we did take the snack tray off the 2012 model and replace it with a bumper bar. The result is a sleeker, more chic look. But you can still get the snack tray as a sold-separately item.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks!
- Emily
Hi!! I wanted to see what the main difference was between the Switch 4 and Pliko Switch Compact (other than the weight). I’m trying to decide whether to go with the Switch 4, Compact, or the Pliko 4. Thanks for all your help!!!
Hi, Emily!
Is the 2012 Pilko Four the updated version of the 2011 Pliko P3 Compact?
Could you please provide how the weight & measurements (folded & unfolded) for 2012 Pliko Four compare to the 2011 Pliko P3 Compact?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Susana,
Yes, the 2012 Pliko Four is an update of the 2011 Pliko P3 Compact
Here are the measurements on the 2011. I will get back with you on the measurements for the 2012:
2011 Pliko P3 Compact
33 2/3” x 21 1/6” x 40 1/3” (OPEN)
19 1/4” x 38 1/2” (FOLDED)
18.7 lbs.

Hi Emily,
I started using new switch four and it seems it has a problem with hood.
When the hood is folded, it hangs down backside and looks sloppy.
Is it broken? How can I fix it?
Hi Aya,
I just saw your question. Sorry about the delay. Are you still having an issue with your hood? If so, please contact us 800-671-1701 so we can help you troubleshoot. Thanks!

Hello Emily,
I have just taken the Switch Four in Geranium out of the box only to find that the window on the canopy has a zipper-closure pocket as opposed to the clip one seen in the videos. I was really disappointed because the zipper color does not match the rest of the fabric and it ruins the other very sleek and elegant design of the stroller. I’m thinking of exchanging it but now I’m not sure which colors would have the nicer closure. Could you please help me out?
Also, I agree with those mentioning that other lighter and/or “girly” colors. The red is ok (though I think the 2009 Switch had a better shade). Otherwise it is a great stroller with the best features on the market.
Thank you for your help!
I have Pliko switch compact in denim 2012. We use them only two months (baby is 6 month old), and they are already full of white balls, and harsh for baby’s soft skin. Should I complaint . Thank you!
-Darija
Hi Darija,
Yes, please do contact us directly so we can help you out with this. Customer Service can be reached by calling 800-671-1701.
Thank you.
- Emily
Hi Kay,
Sorry for the short delay in getting back with you. I had to do a little research before I could answer your question. First, are you sure its the 2012 Switch Four you have? You would know because the 2012 has four wheels (instead of eight, which the 2011 has). From what I can tell, there have been some running changes on the Switch’s hoods, so that may be why yours has a zipper and not a silver clip. If you did an exchange, it would need to be done at the retailer and it must fall within the retailers return/exchange policy. If you’d like to speak to one of our Customer Service representatives about this further, please call us at 800-671-1701. Thank you.
And thanks for your feedback on the color collections. I’ll certainly pass it along to our design team.
- Emily
Hi- is it available in Australia anywhere?? I was so in love with my pliko stroller with my last baby 6 years ago, this baby will only have a peg too.
The easy drive has impressed me!
Hi Kristy,
Thanks for your interest in the Switch Four. I’m not sure if it’s available in Australia or not, as I’m only familiar with the U.S. Collection. Please contact our headquarters at (011) 39-039-6088213 (Milan, Italy) to inquire, or ask you question via Peg Perego Italy’s Facebook Page at facebook.com/pegperegofficialpage.
Thanks!

Hi,
we just got the Switch Four for our upcoming baby in June. We got the Demin one which is so adorable. The only thing is I can’t seem to fit the foot muff correctly according to the instructions. If I tie the sides of the muff to the buttons on the hood as shown in the instruction pamphlet, I can’t stretch the front enough to tie the big wooden button over the bumper, such as the image. Is this normal or are there buttons where I should tie the side of the muff elsewhere?
Thanks for your help and really looking forward to trying this new stroller!
Xuana
Hello Xuana,
We are so happy that you are enjoying the Switch Four in denim and congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your baby! We just sent you an email on how to attach the foot muff for the Switch Four. Please be sure to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Erica
Hi,
What are the differences between the 2011 and 2012 switch? The wheels and fabric choices?
Where can I find retailers in Chicago? I tried the store locator from your site but all of those i called dont carry peg perego strollers…
Thanks,
Jas
Hi Jas,
Thanks for your question. To answer, the Switch Four differs from the Pliko Switch in a few ways. Like you had named, there are different fabric choices and the wheels are different. The Switch Four now comes with four wheels with suspension and 12 ball bearings, which allows for an easier push and better maneuverability. The Switch Four also comes with a foot muff and rain shield, so that baby is protected in any weather.
As for where to buy, I would recommend either Babies ‘R’ Us or Buy Buy Baby for the Switch Four. Below is one that may work for your location:
BUY BUY BABY
60515 DOWNERS GROVE (IL) 22 miles
1556 BUTTERFIELD ROAD
Phone: 630-705-0823
Thanks again and feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!
Erica
Hi Erica,
Does the Four wheel suspension with 12 ball bearings have a big difference compared to the wheels of Switch 2011? Is it worth the big price difference between the two?
I’ve seen lots of reviews of the switch 2011 with complaints on the maneuverability but I haven’t read that much reviews of the Switch four yet.
Thanks,
Jas
Hi Jas,
My personal opinion is that the wheels do make a difference. It is much easier to push (not that is was too hard before) and maneuvers around corners and tighter spaces better. Below is a link that a blogger has done for the Switch Four Modular System. You’ll have to scroll down a bit to see where she talks about the stroller.
http://theshoppingmama.com/2012/02/peg-perego-switch-four-modular-stroller-system-review-giveaway/
Let me know what you think or if you need more information.
Thank you!
Erica
Hi,
I really love Peg Perego Pliko Switch! – both the 2011 and 2012 model. However, I’m not sure which to choose: I really like how the double-wheel 2011 model look like, as it seems very classic whereas the other one is more modern.
Do you think the 2012 model is really better if I’m planning to use it as a “quick stroller” for travelling for example?
Also, I like the fact that it comes with a foot muff. Or do you think I can buy a foot muff separately for the 2011 model?(as I saw, european models did include foot muff as well…)
A very important issue for me:
Do you think the easy drive model (with the one handle) will be available here in the US next year(2013), or should I not wait for that one as it’s not going to be available and would rather choose the 2011/2012 model in the color I like? (pois grey or zaffiro..)
If the easy drive model is not going to be available here, is it only the color that’s going to be different in the 2013 model, or are there going to be other changes?
Is it true that the 2012 model has a foldable seat as well? (Not just the chassis, but the seat itself can be folded.) Is it true for the 2011 one or is it going to be the same on the 2013 one?
And: will the 2011/2012 primo viaggio car seat applicable to the 2013 model or not?
Thank you very much for your answer!
— Anna
Hi Anna,
Thank you for your questions! Please see my answers below:
1) The streamlined four wheels of the Switch Four (2012) include ball bearings and suspensions that make the stroller easier to maneuver, which adds more to the stroller than just a modern look. In this sense, I would choose the Switch Four over the Pliko Switch.
2) If you are interested in the foot muff, then I would also choose the Switch Four because the foot muff does not come with the 2011 Pliko Switch and you will not be able to purchase one.
3) Unfortunately, there will not be an easy-drive model of the Switch Four coming to the US in 2013.
4) The main differences between the 2012 and 2013 models will be the color collections. We will not be making any functional changes to the Switch Four next year.
5) All of the models of the Switch (2011, 2012, 2013) have a seat that can be folded.
6) You will be able to use a 2011 or 2012 Primo Viaggio with the 2013 Switch Four.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you!
Erica
Dear Erica!
Thank you so much for your detailed answers!
I am about to have the switch four, but I maybe going with the modular system. That’s just awesome, and has everything, even a coordinating diaper bag, which is not available separately here in the US.
I only have two questions about the Switch Four Modular System:
- Does the package include the bassinet stand? (Many of those who reviewed it, claimed yes, but I don’t see it listed in any of the retailer’s websites.) It would be nice to have it also included in the system.
- I noticed that in the modular system the toddler seat comes with the snack tray. Does it also come with the bumper bar? If not, can I buy it separately? – ‘Cause I prefer having a simple, more elegant bumper bar, than a snack tray.
Thank you!
— Anne
Hi. I just got the switch four stroller and the sip 30 car seat. When I connect them together they are very and I mean very wobbly. This can’t be right but I think it is. How can this problem be resolved?
Hi Marcy,
That is not normal at all. When you connect the Primo Viaggio 30-30 to the Switch Four chassis, is the the dot aligned to the attachment point? Do you hear a click from both sides after attaching? If you would like additional help in diagnosing your problem, I would recommend contacting our customer service at service@pegperego.com or 1-800-671-1701.
Thank you,
Erica
Hi Anna,
I apologize for the delay! The Switch Four modular system does come with the bassinet stand. Also, the Switch Four comes with the bumper bar and not the snack tray, which is sold separately.
Thanks for your questions!
Erica
Hi,
I just love the peg perego collection, It’s so cute.
I wanted to know if the switch four denim collection will be in canada soon?
Thank you
Kristine
Hi Kristine,
The Switch Four Modular System in denim black should be available in Canada in the next few weeks. Some retailers may already have it in stock.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you!
Erica
