2012 Peg Perego Pliko Four

One of our most beloved strollers, the Pliko, is getting a sleek and stylish makeover for 2012. New for next year, the Pliko Four will have four larger wheels, updating the old eight-wheel design. The new wheels not only look sleeker, but with 12 ball bearings and a suspension system, they make the new Pliko Four 30 percent easier to push. Also new for the 2012 design is the sleek new bumper bar. It looks great, plus it can be swapped out for a child’s snack tray (sold separately).
The Pliko has long been a favorite stroller, and for good reason. It has all of the best features of a full-sized stroller (multi-position recline, large canopy, snack tray option) with the convenience of a one–hand compact fold that allows for quick closing and carrying. Plus, you can make the Pliko Four the ultimate travel system stroller with a matching Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 infant car seat.
Features of the updated Pliko Four include:
- One-hand quick, easy, and compact fold.
- Adjustable leg and back rest
- Large, handy storage basket for all the necessities
- Telescoping handles for taller adults
- Side adult cup holder
- Large hood with peek-a-boo window that unzips to become a sun canopy
- Loop on canopy to dangle baby’s favorite light toy
- Built-in rear footboard that provides a safe ride for a second passenger
The Pliko Four is a perfect fit for families who are on the go and need a reliable and durable stroller that fits into a compact space. Share your thoughts and questions about the new Pliko Four below. We’d love to hear what you think!

I am not a fan of the four wheels. I have been pushing my Skate over grates before (in that this has happened more than once) and a wheel gets stuck. It is pretty scary when it happens, because I am strolling along just fine, then bam, I am in a hole. The same is true of the compact switch. These need to be much wider or thicker wheels. I feel like Peg’s products are slowly going towards only being able to be pushed in malls with these small four wheels.
I love the Pois Grey!!
Hi Lil,
Thanks for your comments. I know what you mean. It can be a bit scary if your wheel gets stuck on something. Do know though that the updated 2012 Pliko Four (and the updated 2012 Switch Four for that matter) do have larger wheels compared to the 2011 model.
-Emily
Thanks Mommy Katie.
We’re glad you like the Pois Grey. It’s one of our perennial favorites too.

Hi,
We are expecting our 1st baby for the end of March 2012 and we were wondering if the new model will be out by then or if we should buy the 2011 model.
Thank you.
Hi Alex,
Congratulations. The 2011 Pliko Four will start arriving in stores (in most colors) in January. All colors should be available by February.
-Emily
Love the south pole color!
I was checking the pliko 3 out in the store last night for our baby on the way. Will the pliko 4 fold up the same way as the pliko 3? Will the weight be the same? Also, any idea what the suggested retail price on it will be?
Thanks
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for your questions. The 2012 Pliko Four will fold the same way as the 2011 Pliko P3 Compact. The newer version (with the four larger wheels) will weigh just a little bit more, but not much (just around one pound). The suggested retail price for the 2012 Pliko Four will be $399.00.
-Emily
I had a peg pliko many years ago and loved it. My mom just bought me the P3 for our new baby due in April, we didn’t realize a new model was coming out. Should I return it and go for the newer model? What are the benefits p3 vs. p4? It looks like the price difference will be about $100 is it worth it? Also is the padding removable and washable?
Thanks for any response
Hi Korin,
Thank you so very much for your question. You are right; we updated the Pliko for 2012 with a new four-wheel design. The redesigned wheels have 12 ball bearings and suspension for enhanced steering and maneuverability, requiring 30 percent less effort to push. That said, I wouldn’t say the 2011 is hard to push, not at all. I have the older Pliko P3 Compact myself, and I love it.
You still have some time before your baby’s arrival. Is it possible for you to go to one of our retailers and test out the 2012 model? That way, you could really feel the difference for yourself. The 2012 model should be available in most colors by mid-January. To find a retailer, you can use our Online Store Locator.
To answer your other question, yes all of our stroller upholstery is removable, but it is HAND WASH only. We recommending using water and a mild soap.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
-Emily
Will it be compatible with any of the Peg Perego car seats? Thanks!
Hi Ellie,
Yes! The 2012 Pliko Four is compatible with our Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 infant car seat
.
-Emily
Hi,
Does the Pilko 4 come with a reversible seat like the Pliko Switch Compact?
If yes, what are the major difference between it and the 2011 Pliko Switch Compact?
Where can I buy the 2012 models? I need to buy online for international shipping, in time for our baby in May.
Thanks!
Hi Grace,
The Pliko Four does not have a reversible seat, and that is the main difference between it and the Switch Four. You can find a list of our authorized online retailers here.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi, Emily!

Thanks in advance!

hi there,
I am just wondering if any other car seat are compatible with the pliko p4 other than the peg perego sip 30/30?
thank
miriam
Hi Miriam,
Thanks for your question. We only test our strollers with our own Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30. So while other car seats might work, I really can’t say for sure. Sorry about that! I can tell you the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 and the Pliko Four make a perfect match!
-Emily
What are the folded dimensions of the Switch Four? I like the reversible seat option, but need something that will fit in the trunk of a Beetle. Looks like the Pliko Four will barely fit.
Thanks,
Katy
Hi Katy,
Folded, the Switch Four measures 20 1/2 ” x 38 5/6″.
Let us know if you have more questions or need some other suggestions.

Hi Emily,
Does the Pliko 4 come with a child’s tray or do you have to buy it separately. Also, does the Pliko 4 switch come with the tray or is that also need to be bought separate? Thanks for your help!
Does the denim wipe off spills as easily as the other fabrics?
thanks
Kat
Hi Ellie,
Thanks for your questions. There is a child tray available for both the Switch Four and the Pliko Four. This is a sold separately item for both.
-Emily
Hi Kat,
Yes, I would say it is
Thanks for your question.

Hi,
How will the new four wheels handle snow and gravel roads? Will it be different from the pliko 3?
Many thanks!
Hi Lisa,
Thanks so much for your question. While the Pliko Four isn’t meant to be an all-terrain stroller, the new four-wheel design would perform much better on different surfaces like snow and gravel than the older models with eight smaller wheels. The redesigned wheels on the 2012 have 12 ball bearings and suspension for enhanced steering and maneuverability, requiring up to 30 percent less effort to push. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have more questions.
-Emily
Hi, when is the pliko four available is malaysia or Singapore?
Hi Stacey,
Thanks for your question. We contacted the corporate office in Italy and they informed us that the Pliko Four will only be available in North America. Below, I have included a link to the Malaysian Peg Perego Official Website, where you can see what strollers are available in your area.
Peg Perego Malaysia: http://global.pegperego.com/babyproducts-catalog/Strollers
I hope this was helpful, and please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks again!
Erica
Hi,
I purchased the pliko four a couple months ago, and i really love it, but there are some things that concern me, first of all is that on one of the back wheel little black covers fell like on the fist week, and the second and major concern is that the canopy keeps falling apart like every time i fold it, i don’t know if it’s normal or mine is defective, if so, what shoul i do to have it fixed or exchanged??
Thanks in advance for your help!
Did i mention that besides all i love it?
Hi Valeria,
Thank you so much for writing us. I apologize that you are having troubles with the Pliko Four, but am happy to hear that you are enjoying the stroller. I forwarded your message to our customer service and someone should be contacting you very shortly to help you further. We will do our best to take care of the situation.
Thanks again,
Erica
We have a Pliko Three stroller that we used for our son who is now 6. It is still in great shape. We also had the Primo Viaggio carseat, and understand that this is now expired due to the time period. We are expecting another baby in September and would love to use the Pliko 3, but are wondering if it will work well with the new model of the Primo Viaggio SIP carseat?
Thanks,
Dina
Hi Dina,
Can you share with me what year your Pliko P3 is? It will help me in figuring out if it it compatible with the current Primo Viaggio infant seat.
Thank you!
Erica
Hi! It was purchased new in 2005. The side says “Aluminum 5086″. The upholstery is grey, black, and yellow. Hope this helps!
Thanks
Dina
Hi Dina,
I apologize for the delay, but good news! The 2005 Pliko P3 is compatible with the our current Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 infant car seat. Thanks so much for your patience and your question.
Have a great day!
Erica
We have a Primo Viaggio Tri-Fix car seat. Will this be compatible with the Pliko Four?
Thanks,
Li
Hi Li,
I am happy to let you know that the Pliko Four is compatible with both the Primo Viaggio Tri-Fix car seat and the Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 infant seat.
Thanks for your question,
Erica
Hi
Can you tell me the difference of Pliko Switch On track Modular and Pliko Switch Modular?
What does “OnTrack” mean? Thanks.
Dorothy
Hello Dorothy,
The main difference between the Pliko Switch Modular and The Pliko Switch On Track Modular is the type of fabric used on the stroller. There is no major functional or design difference between the strollers, but the On Track fabric offers a more simplistic cut of fabric.
Thanks for reaching out!
Erica
Hi,
I really like the Pliko 4 stroller and the Primo Viaggio Infant Seat that you can put with it. I noticed that the Infant Seat 2012 model still comes in the Paloma color/fabric option but that the Pliko 4 2012 model does not come in Paloma. I really wanted my system to match. Is this correct? Or is there any way to get the 2012 system all in Paloma? I was considering just buying the whole 2011 system in Paloma, but after reading all the comments, it seems like the 2012 system is so much better.
Any suggestions or other options?
Thank you,
Liesl
Hi Liesl,
We agree that the 2012 Pliko Four is a great choice for a stroller. Although we do not have a matching collection for the Pliko Four and the Primo Viaggio 30-30 in Paloma, I believe we have a collection that may be compatible. The Newmoon fabric collection was introduced in 2012 and it should serve as a nice complement to the Paloma Primo Viaggio. You can see the Newmoon collection on our website at http://us.pegperego.com/babyproducts-catalog/2012/Pliko+Four.
Thanks for reaching out and please let me know if there is anything more I can help with.
Erica
I bought the Pliko4 switch, i wanted to know: do i need to remove the seat to install the infant car seat? Or does it attach with the seat installed?
Thank you
Hello,
For the Switch Four, you will have to remove the seat to attach the Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 car seat directly to the chassis. If you have the Pliko Four (the seat does not remove from chassis) you can connect the car seat to the anchors on the seat.
Thanks for your question and please let me know if I can be of more help.
Erica
I want the stroller but not the car sear. Is it possible for you to list out car seats that can fit into the p4 with adapters? thanks
Hello,
I’m so happy to hear that you are interested in the Pliko Four! In order to be travel system accessible, the stroller only works with a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 infant car seat. At this time we are not manufacturing adapters that fit other car seats for the Pliko Four.
Thank you for your question!
Erica
Hello,
I wanted to know if the Pliko 4 comes with a boot cover?
If not, can you purchase one ?
Is the rain cover included in the pack?
Please let me know
Thank you
Hi Izzy,
Unfortunately, the Pliko Four does not come with a foot muff or rain shield. We do not manufacture a foot muff for the Pliko Four, but you can purchase a rain shield.
Thank you for your question,
Erica
Hi,
I’d like to know if Primo Viaggio is the same in Europe and in USA?
In other words, are Tri-Fix System (Europe) and SIP 30/30 (USA) the same?
Hello Arthur,
The Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 that is sold in the US and the Primo Viaggio Tri-Fix sold in Europe are not the same. Thanks for your question and please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Is the Pliko P Four stroller compatible with the Graco snugride 35 car seat?
Hi Erica, I`m from Brazil and I plan to buy the Pliko Switch Four.
I was wondering if there is technical assistance here in Brazil in case of any problem with the stroller ?
Tks
Hi April,
The Pliko Four is not compatible with the Graco Snugride 35 car seat, but it does have a built-in travel system with our Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 infant seat.
Thanks for your question!
Erica
Hi Rodrigo,
You can contact our customer service here: http://global.pegperego.com/babyproducts-site/contact-us/ and they can assist you with any questions that may come up with your Switch Four stroller.
Thank you!
Erica
Hello I have the pliko four pios grey but mind did not come with the footmuff to match. Is the footmuff available to purchase?
Hi Amanda,
Unfortunately, we do not make a foot muff for the Pliko Four stroller. I would suggest looking at another brand, such as JJ Cole.
Thank you for your question and please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
Erica
Hi there.
Just a couple of questions
Could you please let me know:
1. if the Pliko Four has a Carriage mode like the Pliko Switch Four for a newborn? (is the carriage mode just a piece of fabric that attaches to the handle bar?)
2. The difference in dimension and weight between the Pliko Four and the Pliko Switch Four
I would like the carriage mode for my newborn, but am not sure if it’s avail on the Pliko Four….but am hoping the Switch Four isn’t much heavier?
Thx
I just bought the Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 car seat and I am wondering if it is compatible with both the 2011 and 2012 Pliko Four? I
Thank you,
Gina
Hello Serene,
Thanks for your questions! Please see below for our answers.
1. The Pliko Four does not come with a baby-safe (mesh netting used at the foot of the stroller to help turn the chair into a carriage) and does not have as flat recline as the Switch Four, which means it does not adjust to carriage mode.
2. The dimensions for the Pliko Four are : H – 34″ W – 21.5″ D – 40″ and weight is 20.2 lbs.
For the Switch Four, the dimensions are: H – 34.13″ W – 22.66″ D – 39.75″ and weight is 21.1 lbs.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you!
Erica
Hi Gina,
Yes, the current Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 will be compatible with a 2011 and 2012 Pliko Four.
Thank you for asking
Erica
Hi, I have a few questions:
a)Im about to buy one of the following strollers, but cant make up my mind to which one would be better. I would like to know what are the most important differences between the book plus, the 2012 pliko four and the swich four that could help one decide?
b)the denim style (or jean looking style ) has75% cotton, and I would like to know what do you recommend more, 100% polyester or the cotton? Is there a difference in durability, easier to wash, etc. between them?
Is there a benefit to being able to attach the car seat to the stroller directly rather than having to do it separately like in the swich 4?
Thank you for your time!
Ely
Hi Ely,
Thank you for your questions! Please see below for our answers.
a) Unlike the Switch Four and the Book Plus, the Pliko Four is a forward facing stroller only, meaning that your baby will not be able to face you. It also does not have a full recline, like the Switch Four and the Book Plus. As for the differences between the Book Plus and the Switch Four, the Book Plus has a solid handlebar, while the Switch Four has two handles. The wheels and basket of the Book plus are also larger than the Switch Four.
b) Both the denim fabric and polyester fabric were designed to provide maximum durability and ease of use when washing. My personal opinion is that you will have a bit more longevity if going with a polyester fabric, but it really boils down to what look you prefer the most.
c) The nice thing about attaching the car seat directly to the stroller seat is that you do not have to remove and store the stroller seat. With our G-Matic system, it is not difficult at all to attach the car seat to the built-in anchors of the stroller seat. Another benefit is that you can use the canopy of the stroller with the canopy of the car seat for maximum sunshade protection.
Hope this all helps and feel free to let me know if you have additional questions!
